Zhihua (Bonny) Qiao

Associate

Zhihua (Bonny) Qiao is an associate attorney at Lazarus Karp Ehrlich McCourt, LLP, specializing in residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes. With a focus on holdover proceedings, nonpayment proceedings, and plenary actions, Bonny adeptly represents clients before various courts and administrative bodies, including the NYC housing courts, civil courts, state courts, and the NYC Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings.

Bonny holds a J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she gained valuable experience interning for Hon. Socrates P. Manoukian on the Superior Court of Santa Clara County, California. She also served on the law school's Sherman Minton Moot Court competition board and received recognition for her legal writing skills through an award from William & Mary Law School's international writing competition.

Bonny is licensed to practice law in both the State of New York and the State of Illinois. Originally from China, Bonny brings a diverse perspective to her work. Having lived on both coasts and in the midwest of the United States, the “big apple” is now a place she calls home.  In her free time, she enjoys visiting museums and art galleries and taking bike rides around the city.
